Carpetopia
Acrylic on canvas,
60" x 78"

I was commissioned to do a large painting for the showroom of a carpet company in the Silicon Valley area. Almost as an afterthought, I included a sketch of a WPA/Socialist worker fantasy - the UberCarpetMensch. I was suprised but happy when they selected it!
I tried to capture the feel of the those great 1930s WPA murals, and even went over the entire painting with a yellow/brown glaze at the end to add an "aged" look.
