What is the well-dressed alien beauty wearing this season? Nothing, apparently. Using a blue pencil, one day I sketched a troubled yet hopeful woman with odd tattoos. It might have been the influence of the blue pencil, but that was it - blue was her color from then on!
As I scratched out that original concept, I was remembering a photo I had of the lovely German silent film actress Brigitte Helm. I ended up using that photo for reference as I painted.
